Warning signs
- The landlord can't meet or show the apartment in person
- They ask for a deposit by wire, gift card or payment app before you sign
- The rent is far below similar places
- They pressure you to decide immediately

Report it to the listing site and at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, and contact your bank right away.
